As I watch Facebook reactions from the election, I’ve noticed that the *only* friends on my feed who are saying, “It will be all right,” or “We just need to understand each other better,” or “This is simply how democracy works,” are white straight people.

This is irregardless of whether people supported Trump or opposed him.

I would not want to speak as to why that is the case, but I wonder if you’ve experienced something similar.
